development projects
Project Vita's primary focus is improving the lives of people living in poverty in rural Mozambique. The development of a society depends on many different factors working together, and that's why we have a holistic approach. To that end, we are involved in various projects to improve housing, access to medicine, find alternative power sources, and generate cooking fuel.
Project Vita built a maternity clinic in Linga Linga, Mozambique, to help combat the high infant mortality rate in the village.
We worked with Swedish engineers to develop a process to turn household waste into environmentally sustainable fuel for cooking.
Our teams used local materials to construct structurally sound single-family homes in Beira.
After a devastating cyclone, we helped rebuild classrooms and installed new toilets in the local primary school in Linga Linga.
Our student volunteers installed solar panels to power a maternity clinic in Linga Linga.
