Simões Mahumane
Simões Mahumane has been involved with Project Vita in Mozambique since 2019. Starting as a volunteer, he is now Chairman of the Board of Project Vita Mozambique.
He first began working with Project Vita in Inhambane, assisting with constructing maternity rooms at the Linga Linga health clinic. He also helped with the installation of solar panels at the clinic, providing technical support and interpreting.
Born and raised in Maputo, Mozambique, he studied Architecture and Physical Planning at Eduardo Mondlane University. While still an undergraduate, he volunteered with UN-Habitat, studying resilient project management of cyclone damage in Vilanculos, Mozambique.
After school, he joined a consulting company in Quelimane, Zambézia Province. In 2019, he left and started a consulting firm specializing in architecture and physical planning.
