We at Project Vita are built on two pillars: improved living standards and knowledge sharing.

We strive to improve the living standards of those in Mozambique by implementing a new base of knowledge and development within the community.

Improving living standards isn’t just about helping people in a community have more money in their pockets. It’s about providing safer homes, a place to play, better cooking equipment, clean water, more food on the table and other basic needs.

How do we reach this goal?

We know that we can’t fix everything — that we don’t have all the answers or the ability to provide all their basic needs. But we can work to achieve those goals one at a time. We can help one family at a time, build one stove at a time, build one house at a time, and help one community at a time.

There are many ways you can help:

  • Volunteer: You don’t have to be in Mozambique to help. You can also help by coming up with projects ideas , planing, help our team in Sweden/Mozambiqur, fundraising ideas/events, and ways to increase awareness about the community’s plight and our mission.
  • Research: You cannot always find solutions to existing problems from afar. Sometimes you need to be where the challenges are to study them more closely. This allows researchers to gain a deeper understanding of individual challenges and come up with targeted solutions. To that end, we support and will help students who are interested in coming to Mozambique and do their theses on different areas of the society.
  • Financial Support: Any amount is welcome! You can join our Monthly Giving Program or make individual donations. Your contributions will allow us to continue building homes for those in need.

We also welcome your time here. Spending time with us here in Mozambique will help you understand more about the community and how we work. Knowledge is power, and by combining the varied skills and sharing the knowledge of people from all parts of the world — and by working as a team — we can improve the living standards and empower the lives of those who need it most.

This is why we strongly encourage volunteers, students, and supporters from all corners of the globe to join us in Mozambique to help fulfill our mission. To truly understand the needs and challenges of the people in a community, it is important that we work, live, and walk side by side with those in it.

Join us and see how big changes can come from small initiatives.
